Awarding ceremony of scholarships and prizes

Technology Academy Finland annually organizes an invitational awarding ceremony of scholarships and prizes for research and development in the field of engineering. The awarding ceremony will be organized for the ninth time by TAF on April 4, 2017.

Director, Confederation of Finnish Industries EK, Competence and Growth

Dr. Riikka Heikinheimo is currently responsible for the Competence and Growth Sector (education, research, innovations, trade policy and funding) at the Confederation of Finnish Industries, EK.

She has a long experience as an executive director in both national public funding organizations (scientific research / Academy of Finland and innovations / Tekes – The Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation).

 

 

Rob BlaauwgeersRob Blaauwgeers

CEO, BlueFors Cryogenics

Rob Blaauwgeers is the co-founder of BlueFors Cryogenics, a company specializing in ultra-low temperature systems.

In 2006, during his post-doc research at the Low Temperature Lab at Helsinki University of Technology, he developed a new and easy-to-use ultra-low temperature refrigeration system by combining dilution refrigerator and mechanical cooler technology.

BlueFors was subsequently founded in 2008

 

 

Linda LaatikainenLinda Laatikainen

Chief Operating Officer, Rinnekoti Foundation

Linda Laatikainen has worked on public health matters as a researcher, consultant and social enterprise director.

She studied at Oxford and Cambridge University and has worked at the World Health Organization and McKinsey & Company.

She is currently in charge of the social, healthcare and educational services of Rinnekoti Foundation.
